elton john

back in either 1972 or '73 elton john had a song entitled "think i'm gonna kill myself".  now initially this song was written as a song about teen age angst.  i discovered it in the early 80's and just fell in love with it.  i love the honky tonk melody and the lyrics.  the first verse pretty much summed up how i felt (then and now). recently though, i got a little creative and re wrote the song, making changes here and there.  now my version would read something along the lines of someone suffering from mid life blues.  check out his version sometime and pay particular attention to the first verse.
